When I saw a couple on 90 Day U.K. use the great outdoors as their bathroom, I said nothing. They were living in a camper after all. But watching an L.A. resident suggest that indoor facilities were somehow “fancy”, I have to say something. It appears he’s living in a garage. No problem there. I knew a woman who lived in a garage with her two children. They were snug and happy enough and you know what they had? Indoor plumbing. As a child, I visited people “living off the land” who had outhouses as well as holes in the ground and a courtesy shovel. I’ve seen things.
But L.A. is a major city, and I feel very confident in stating it may even have housing laws about indoor toilets. Shared bathrooms was the main source of communicable disease in tenements in the late 19th and early 20th century. It’s not cool. No matter how lovely it is to walk through a file cabinet(!) strewn courtyard.
The garage conversion to an apartment is most likely not to code. But with the housing supply crisis, it’s really just not a priority to sent inspectors around and shut them down.
It is not normal to think of indoor bathrooms as fancy. This guy saying so is just him gaslighting her due to his insecurities.
And this dude wants to have kids.
That is just completely delusional. Maybe he has hopes her family will step in and give them lots of money. He needs to just live life as the player he claims to be and let the long term idea and kids be done. A Playa with no game.
