He’s actually grew up in Virginia until he was a teenager, then moved to KC I just found out. To me that makes a lot more sense.
Not really, though, because it was Northern Virginia - which does not have a southern accent at all. He lived right outside of DC.
I believe he was born in Virginia and moved to Kansas early on, I remember someone in the sub talking about the show being “too American” and someone listed all the creators birth cities. I was surprised then to find out that Jason wasn’t born in Kansas and that Jason is his middle name.
