Just finished episode 4 of invincible season 2 and the fact that Omni man already moved on with a happy life and Debbie and Mark are still grieving and processing what happened is just shitty. Like, Nolan didn’t care about watch after 20 years with his wife and child? But cares about a fucking bug planet where he probably wasn’t there for so long? I don’t care if he’s finally learning to be “human” he doesn’t deserve to have that family or life after what he did to Mark and Debbie. He almost killed Mark and basically used his fucking face to kill subway train people. Debbie was only his pet and not a wife. But the bug was his wife. He is a pathetic sad man who shouldn’t live.
Nolan only did what he did in the end of Season 1 because basically he’s trying to convince himself he still believes and is loyal to Viltrum. He just needs Mark to validate him, which he doesn’t get, and that’s why he breaks like he did. He doesn’t actually see Debbie as a pet, nor does he actually see human life as pointless. That’s the whole point of it. He’s trying to sell himself on all of that.
