I’m asking because (as a show-watcher only) seeing his other feats of strength makes it seem like the Guardians should not have been able to considerably hurt him in the way they did (Red Rush especially seemed to have quite an effect intially, making him vomit up a bunch of blood). Did he let them injure him more than they could have if he was at maximum force to make his story more believable?
I think the Guardians have the potential to take it as long as Nolan isn’t blood lusted in the same sense that the Justice League could probably take a none blood lusted Superman (sense he’d be consciously or subconsciously holding back).
None of them individually stand a chance at all, and even together it’s a small chance, but there’s still a chance.
That’s how to story presents it at least, but in actuality based on feats, there’s nothing they should be able to do to take Nolan.
We saw Mark hit Nolan with a hard hit to the face and not even get a reaction out of Nolan other than “please”. Mark is presumably stronger or at the least the same strength as the Immortal, who seemed to be the strongest of the Guardians, so if Mark couldn’t hurt him, it’s unlikely they could either if he was serious.
Which sort of raises the question if he couldn’t have gotten away with his scheme for longer by killing them and not being at the scene, just destroying the suit (presumably he has more than 1) by throwing it into the sun or something.
