Not sure why they are pivoting to seance dog. I liked science dog. Is it because the Science dog IP may be owned by someone else? I would assume Kirkman owns it so I have no clue why it’s not used in the show.

Kirkman does own Science Dog, but Kirkman does not own the series adaptation of Invincible. The tv rights belong to Amazon for the foreseeable future. If Science Dog becomes a part of Invincible’s series adaptation, then Kirkman can’t go make a Science Dog show with Netflix, see?
Which is not to say that’s a likely outcome, but it makes sense that he would want to retain that option until Amazon pays him to give it up.
