I’ll go with the low-hanging fruit: Mein Kampf. I’ve read it, cover to cover. As a piece of propaganda, it’s good. As an example of good writing? Absolutely not (though I will admit I have only read it in translation). Oh, and the whole fascist, racist, and generally shitty worldview of the author that he infuses into the text. And the fact that the author is literally Hitler. You 5-star that book? You’re a Nazi. Period. And as a Jewish person, I don’t look too kindly on them.

Atlas Shrugged, Rich dad Poor dad, anything by Jordan Peterson, any self-help/pop psychology/“101 economy” piece of rubbish, Harry Potter, anything classifiable as YA/BookTok, and last but not least, 1984 or Animal Farm.

Jordan Peterson’s political commentaries are a miss but you have to admit his lectures on psychology are pretty insightful and interesting

I’d rather date a non-reader than people whose favourite book is any of those. At least a non-reader has other interests we can share, whereas I’ve had these books pushed down my throat for so long now. Especially Jordan Peterson. If I hear the sodding word lobster one more time I swear to god…

Oh shit, I thought all the lobster stuff on dating profiles was referring to the 2015 movie starring Colin Farrell and Rachel Weisz. I enjoyed that movie. 4/5, would watch again.
