I’ll go with the low-hanging fruit: Mein Kampf. I’ve read it, cover to cover. As a piece of propaganda, it’s good. As an example of good writing? Absolutely not (though I will admit I have only read it in translation). Oh, and the whole fascist, racist, and generally shitty worldview of the author that he infuses into the text. And the fact that the author is literally Hitler. You 5-star that book? You’re a Nazi. Period. And as a Jewish person, I don’t look too kindly on them.

depends on why they have it on their Shelf:

a lot of people don’t know that the woman who wrote the Harry Potter books is a full-blown TERF who has literally going on active attack and justifies it by saying that if people didn’t approve of her bigoted bs, then they wouldn’t buy her books anymore.

yep, I own all the Harry Potter books, and I supported the fandom right up until I found out. completely ruined the franchise for me. I sit around wishing for that woman to be dead over 100 years so I don’t have to feel guilty about contributing to her getting royalty money to fund all her hatred.

seriously, that’s the plan:cryogenics for 100 years and Harry Potter will finally be cleansed of the vile Financial support of the author attacking trans people.

that woman doesn’t get a dime from me until she’s dead that long.

now, if they didn’t know, and that’s why they have it highly rated, I’m okay with this.

if they find out and still want to give the woman more money for her hate crimes though, that’s a problem.
