Paul Lynch’s fifth novel is the winner of the Booker Prize 2023. A mother faces a terrible choice, in his exhilarating, propulsive and confrontational portrait of a society on the brink
Was hoping Paul Lynch would win for this excellent novel. I read all 6 on the SL and a few from the LL and that was easily the best imo. I also really loved Western Lane, In Ascension and House of Doors.
I was disappointed by the Bee Sting - really disliked the characters and the last third or so of the book when it switches to second person really annoyed me.
