I did just that, I literally couldn’t imagine waiting another 4 months to find out what happens to mark. I finished the entire 144 issues starting from where the show ended off. It is also fucking incredible, like so incredibly good. The animation better not disappoint when bigger and badder threats get introduced.

This is hilarious, I did the exact same thing. I got the Flu the day before Thanksgiving, so I had to quarantine and I started issue 1 on Thanksgiving Day. I just finished 144 about 30 minutes ago.
I really enjoyed it. They tied it up nicely, but there’s still a few stories I would love to know more of. Angstrom’s kid. I’m shocked we only got that one panel. I thought it would be hilarious him and little Mark would buddy up and go on dimensional journeys together.
I really wish they touched on little Mark’s anger against his father for leaving. I thought the panel of them talking post fight was great, but I could really see an entire arc of little Mark dealing with the hate he has. That would have been really emotional to touch on.
And throwing in one more fight with Allen at the end for good measure lol.
Kregg with his harem was hilarious.
One thing that bugged me though, I really wanted more information on wtf sent him back in time. What was it? Why did it have this plan? Was it waiting for Mark? Could anyone have gone back? You saw teeth and a jawline in the last panel so it was some sort of being? But if it could see all timelines, could it not see the path Mark chose and knew that one would lead to peace as well?
I think the back in time arc is entirely a victory lap / nostalgia trip. It has no impact on the story and makes no sense. Unlike the rest of the comic, it’s only fun if you don’t think about it.
I refuse to see Reboot as anythking but just shitpost to give main comic some reason to skip 5 years onwards
I do find it funny to think that you can’t wait what will probably be a month between episodes so you need to go binge 144 comics that came out over the course of 15 years, released once per month. I’m not making fun of you because I just started reading the comics too and they’re great, but I think the discourse surrounding a one month break is very funny considering comic book readers would have had one month breaks every month for a decade and a half. Sometimes great things take time and we need to put into perspective that this show will take a long time if it’s going to cover all the comic materials.
