When mark comes back after the time reset and eve confesses that during the five years he was gone she eventually dated someone else.
I honestly think its understandable her doing it and humanizing for mark that he understood and forgave her. The man had disappeared with no sign for five years and everybody thought he died while she was alone in space with their daughter.
…I don’t think the internet is gonna see it that way and I’m scared about the wave of “those” opinion pieces for just way too damn long.

i never got why people got pissed at eve. she waited 4 years before dating again and broke it off as soon as she saw that that guy wasn’t good for her daughter. she did nothing wrong.
Because some people can’t understand comics time isn’t the same as real time. In comic it was 4 years and already over before Mark got back, to the people mad at Eve it was just a few months as the comic released. In other words they are just dumb.
People tend to put themselves in the shoes of the main character and let’s be honest, something like this happening to you is a huge punch in the gut. And as the other guy stated, the timeframe also mattered (it was 4 years for Eve but hardly any time for mark and the readers)
