Just completed watching season one of the show with my wife who has never seen the show before. We’ve discussed the episodes a fair amount, but what are some of your favorite insights from the first season that most commonly get overlooked?
Sassy Smurf calls Rupert names.

you’re right. i meant mostly episode 4, tho. he introduces himself to the viewer in the very first episode where he turns up by calling himself names.

There are so many underlying jokes that are easily missed. Most of them were wordplay puns that sound like normal conversation. I mean there were a lot of obvious ones but I found several that really caught me as super clever and subtle as well.
The Tipi/Wigwam jokes was the classic World of Warcraft Human joke (/joke in game) told a little bit different. “…was running around shouting I’m a Tipi, I’m a WigWam, I’m a Tipi, I’m a WigWam. I said relax man, your two tents.”
I also loved how the show hit your emotions just right. I am an older dude but it still hits my feels. I will watch them all again before 4 season comes out (or is announced maybe).
