      TJ is showing his true colours, he really doesn’t give a shit about her feelings and tries to logic his way out of everything (with suspect logic). Kimberley is a handful, in her own words, but that household is allied against her and fuckface TJ just tells her to leave whenever she talks about her feelings. He is never going to abandon his misogynistic ways and, with apologies to Indian people everywhere, I’m sorry but it’s bred into him. The women somehow continue to spoil their sons and perpetuate the shit they put up with. I’ve witnessed plenty of this firsthand having been engaged with the culture here in North America where it’s positively progressive by Indian standards. She doesn’t stand a chance in that country with TJ, he’s no Sumit who struggled mightily to assert his right to a life. Pack your bags and get the hell out of there, Kimberly, you might be crazy in America but you’re starting to look reasonable stuck in that situation.

        What gets me about this whole situation is I think he really thought she’d just comply with the requirements despite being kept in the dark on purpose/aka lied to- I know it’s a lot when westernized women from the US go to countries where women are in a more housewife centric role but if she did ask several times like she said and he skirted the issue this is 100% on him and her behavior even if intense is valid imo.
