My comment is a separate part of the equation. I never once said that her learning Hindi would prevent TJs family from being assholes. I am merely speaking of her having some kind of autonomy while she is out there. Knowing the language would allow her to be more comfortable to get out of the house to do things. With that being said, it seems that the culture clash is too great here and no one is seeing eye to eye. TJs family does not have the skill set to be supportive to have her “integrate”. It’s their way or the highway. Kim had the same mindset so she has some decisions to make as to whether she wants to stay in that situation or not.
