Sorry all but I absolutely hate Kim. She always escalates everything by yelling, cursing/calling derogatory names. She’s 30 I believe, but acts like a toddler (literally holding her hands to her ears and screaming like a toddler). Her points were valid but her demeanor makes me dislike her. Also, we don’t know why TJ was so dismissive, maybe living with her sucks and he just wants her to leave.
What makes zero sense to me is Kim is a walking contradiction. She claims to take no crap, but she marries into a culture that is universally understood as extremely patrilineal in power dynamics and women basically live to cook and clean. Also, if I’m considering engagement to someone from another culture I’m going to learn as much as I can about that culture and learn the language. She doesn’t Make any sense.
I am not a Kim fan, but as someone who lives with depression (among other things), I can’t help but empathize with her a little. For someone to get to that point of explosive, intense reactions, there had to be a build up. I don’t care if she didn’t do her research on the cultural differences, no one deserves to feel isolated and unsupported. I’m not saying it’s right, the way she handles the conflicts, but that’s what happens when you fight to be heard.
I’ve been there multiple times. Thank goodness for therapy. :')
Typically I’d agree about there being build up, but we see her explode nearly to this same extent weekly. There isn’t even time for a build up she just has anger issues and no self control.
