Why would he write of Viltrumite weaknesses to begin with? He was pretty dedicated to his eventual takeover. So why would he ever write anything which could ever come back to bite him or his people in the ass?

Just seems very odd.

    I think it would be pretty far fetched to think that some random Earthling would read one of his crappy SF novels then go looking for the invincible gun or whatever to kill the Viltrumites with it. They don’t even know the Viltrumites exist when Nolan shows up, and there’s nothing to connect Omni-Man to his writing career.

      I’d argue that with as cunning as Cecil can be, it could be a mistake. Though, I suppose he could’ve written them before Cecil and him ever spoke.
