Why would he write of Viltrumite weaknesses to begin with? He was pretty dedicated to his eventual takeover. So why would he ever write anything which could ever come back to bite him or his people in the ass?

Just seems very odd.

    I always thought it was one or a mix of the following reasons:

    • Viltrumites need to keep records as to avoid them forgetting key details similar to The Doctor’s 2000 year diary (Doctor Who)
    • Debbie suggested they write about their own experiences in space and market it as sci-fi novels

    I prefer both of these to the whole Nolan was subconsciously rebelling against his people
