Why would he write of Viltrumite weaknesses to begin with? He was pretty dedicated to his eventual takeover. So why would he ever write anything which could ever come back to bite him or his people in the ass?

I’m actually reading the comics this very moment for the first time, and it actually does give an explanation, if anybody cares to factcheck me given I don’t know what comes after this but in compendium 2 chapter 66, >! Nolan explains to Allen that he “wrote it all down so I wouldn’t have to remember it all.”!< Btw this comic is fucking nuts and I love it.
