Im a few episodes behind I think, but I’m watching TJ & Kim’s wedding and wondering (ballpark) how much the two day event like this might cost in India? It looks beautiful with so many fireworks/sparklers, outfits, hair and makeup, the horse, details like the flower canope they held over Kim as she walked down the aisle, the tall fabric panels around the stage, henna artist & so many different ceremonies, etc.

Side note: Do we know who paid? I remember TJ saying his family was arranging it all and usually the bride’s family would, but don’t know if they mentioned if her side contributed financially.

I would say 6-8 max. Depending on your currency it more thank likely goes far. My dads from india. The weddings there are so extravagant and EVERYONE is invited. All of my cousins I’m the west have flown to India to get their wedding outfits. Super fun but also exhausting. I’ve been trying to convince my partner we should get married there but— no dice. Hes super worried about our guests getting Delhi belly which is a legit concern.

I was surprised (not that I know anything ) that Yash, Dad, and a few other relatives were wearing Western-style business suits rather than blingy traditional outfits.

Don’t drink the water…… or use ANY ice unless you are at 5 star Hotel. Staying away from salads/raw veggies is also good for first timers. We always thought “mutton” was lamb…… and I think it is in UK and down under. But in India? They told us “mutton” was young goat. It was a wee bit gamey for my tastes. Different strokes for different folks, eh? 😊🤷‍♀️
