I know he’s kind of played as comic relief, but I feel like it would just make sense before we see his inevitable self-sacrifice as a way to maybe gain more with the show audience. We have already begun to see his growth from just a hot-headed douchebag and I think this could also help recontextualize his trauma that he has alluded to and evolve his character.

    Yeah I can see them doing a Rex splode special for Season 3 Episode 0 considering I think that’s when the Invincible War will br

    yeah. i really want them to do something with his backstory, like how they did it with atom eve. it was pretty sad too. (>!parents were broke/struggling, gov buys rex from them for a chance out of bad life, rex is experimented on by government, later he escapes to find out what happened to his family, discovers they are living happily with another child and cries by himself in the snow.)!<
