Im a little late on watching Ted Lasso so forgive me if this has been asked before but why did we never get a second confrontation with Jamie and his dad? Seems like a solid story point that could have been utilized. Or why didn’t Isaac or Roy kick Jamie’s dad’s ass? Definitely had it coming. Idk, feels like an abandoned storyline to me. Could have had a better ending imo.
The locker room scene at Wembley was actually the second confrontation with Jamie and his dad. S1:E10. Jamie was playing for Man City in the season 1 finale at Richmond. Jamie uses Nate’s play where he is the decoy and passes the ball to another player who scores. After Richmond loses, Ted goes to congratulate Jamie on making the pass for the winning assist. Ted almost walks in on James Tartt violently belittling and berating Jamie for not taking the final goal.
You got that wrong. It wasn’t Nate’s play it was that Jaime made the extra pass and let someone else score.
