On a surface level there’s a great comparison there (An Arrested Development cast member plays a talking animal with problems in a world full of talking animals in a movie/show that deals with real world issues) but admittedly Bojack’s just allowed to go deeper into the issues it portrays due to both the fact that it tells its story throughout several seasons and also, well, it’s for adults while Zootopia is both just one movie, so it has way less time to tell its story, but it’s also not only family entertainment but a Disney movie to boot so it can really only handle the difficult topics it does try to portray in a simplistic, surface level way.
It might not be the most fair reason why but gotta go with Bojack here.
