A few years ago, I spent most of my savings on The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer (Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, Winter, and Stars Above; I didn’t get Fairest), read them all, and loved them…though I didn’t reread them and sold them some time later.
And what was the first series you spent most of your savings on?
As a teenager I started reading Twilight. I had the first two ones as paperbacks, and when book 3 and 4 came out, I bought the hardcovers from my pocket money savings. When Meyer published The Host, I begged my mom to buy it for me, it was soooo expensive back then, far more expensive than regular hardbacks. It took a lot of convincing her, but after that, I had to buy all books from my allowance… So the first series I spent all my teenage savings on was the Hunger Games series! It’s probably still the series I’ve spend most money on (not a big series reader), but I’ve gotten into manga lately…
