Not to mention the massive age gaps between both of them 23 Devin to 31 . When you are 23 you are still in your formative years and Nick trying to date her raises a lot of questions .
The Korean culture about weight is very harsh from what I’ve seen. They are very discriminating and blunt about it not being acceptable. One friend’s family disapproved of their partner because they were worried about their weight (not considered fat in us culture, just not toned). Another friend tells me how her mom has always put her down and comments on her weight. She’s not obese but prob a women’s size 10.
So when Nick goes on about the piggy jokes it’s truly how some Koreans think and it’s not endearing at all.
imagine if someone thought for themselves and didn’t just do what was “normal for their culture.” I didn’t realize so many people were robots whose behavior was dictated by where they grew up.
