She takes Manuel to Lake Ontario (one of the Great Lakes) and says it’s the Finger Lakes. Is she even from here? I can’t take these two anymore.
And as a local from the actual Finger Lakes, I cringed when they had her take him to get a Garbage Plate. Of course he wouldn’t understand this cultural phenomenon! I forwarded through that whole scene. They are actually good… maybe once a year. Like a whole cookout on a plate.
Yup. I’m addicted to Google Maps and thought, wait that has to be Lake Ontario. I looked at how many finger lakes there are (11) and saw some photos and now I want to go there! It looks beautiful. I’m originally from NYC but have lived in CA for decades— I also went to SUNY Buffalo (on Lake Erie) but never took a good look at the Finger Lakes region. It looks so cool! But— hold the Garbage Plate! Ugh.
Definitely take a trip to the Finger Lakes! Beautiful scenery + outdoor activities + vineyards = a lovely time!
And Garbage Plates are best consumed when drunk. 😄
