If Hasan Minaj is out, who do you think the permanent host of the Daily Show should be?

I’d like to see Roy Wood come back. I also thought Jessica Williams, who was a correspondent, would do a good job. Two other possibilities; Whitney Cummings and Sam Bee.

    A) Roy Wood Jr

    B) Kal Penn

    C) Chris Rock hosts until the end of the 2024 election, at which they select another full-time host from the correspondents (this was discussed in 2016)

Wyatt Cenac was one of my favorite correspondents, As well as Rob Corddry… Mo Rocca, John Hodgman, or even getting Bassem Youssef would be amazing

It should be Roy Wood Jr., or possibly Jordan Klepper. If Comedy Central really doesn’t want one of them then I’d bring in some one like Paul F. Tompkins for a guest spot, and see how he does as a host.

Al Franken. He was in both politics and comedy so he knows it better than anyone.

Edit: I’d prefer Jon Stewart as much as anyone but he just doesn’t seem to want it.

Just bring back Jon Stewart until at least the 2024 election is over.

No need to rush into picking someone.

To be fair, it’s because she didn’t want to be stuck in the job at the beginning of her career. Seeing where her career has gone since, she might be more open to the job now.

I’d love Sam Bee, but it sounds like she was really unimpressed by nobody offering her the chance to host when Jon left. Interesting that we have some guest hosts coming up for their second round of hosting, wondering if they’re more preferred choices? I seem to be in the minority but I’d love to see what Sarah Silverman does with the show.

Klepper proved to be the most capable and relatable. I understand the desire for a diverse casting but Klepper really outshines the competition.

Hot take: Representation is important, but so is integrity, Klepper shouldn’t be removed from the running because of his skin color ir gender.
