Haven’t watched the newest special, but I’m assuming Cartman is representing overly sensitive “anti-woke” people
Trey and Matt bent the entire point out in god damn neon lights, near the end. Terminally online weirdos, man.
South Park mocks radicalism of any kind as either way radicalism is not good. People thinking there is a side to Cartman, and South Park for that matter, are missing the point.
Cartman literally often has good points
Remember the cartoon wars episodes
Cartman was talking about how family guys humour is just random jokes with no narrative (I’m talking specifically about cutaways, obviously the episodes do have narratives)
He was objectively right
It’s the same kind of geniuses who didn’t get that Archie Bunker was making fun of them in the 70’s.
This is exactly why I love South Park. Everybody is stupid, no one is safe.
I take it you didn’t enjoy the episode
Oh they really struck a nerve. South Park didn’t receive this much coverage and hasn’t generated this amount of clenched butt holes since… the Muhammad episodes maybe?
It’s all about creating outrage and publicity… kinda like Disney with their LGBT+ representation that is so minor that it gets easily removed in China
They’re all stupid
Eh this whole debate about South Park mocking both sides at the same time is annoying at this point.
The really intereting part here is how annoyed either side gets. That is how you can actually tell who is more peeved by the lastest thing.
Man how are you gonna post this and not watch the episode first? It’s laid out pretty well.
Eric Cartman had a point when he said “Mah poker face mah mah poker face”
I love how no matter how hard they kit Kathleen Kennedy between the eyes, you people still think Matt and Trey are on your side…
This is so glorious… the denial is strong and delicisious
Isn’t picking out the satire and allegory from South Park half the fun? I feel sorry for anyone not getting the whole experience
I like how people are gatekeepers over South Park and what their politics are. Reminds me of the Tale of Scrotie Mcboogerballs episode when right and left interpret the book in their favor.
Matt and Trey have admitted to using Cartman as a stand in for their perspective at times
