Tbh her statement kind of reminds me of when my mom gets into one of her explosive manipulative benders and tries to guilt trip you by saying what a horrible person she is. It feels annoying and manipulative.
Yep! You tell them they hurt you by doing whatever it was that hurt you and they’ll reply “I guess I’m just the worst mother in the whole world. I’m sorry you have to deal with me as a mom. I hope you’re happy!”
God that’s exactly what my mom says almost verbatim. And she also says how she’s just going to run away or kill herself since we clearly don’t appreciate her. She is still holding a grudge from when my sisters pointed out something she did that hurt them. She’ll occasionally throw extremely random small jabs in the middle of an otherwise normal conversation too like “I know y’all think I’m a really awful mom, but…” ughhhh
Now that I think about it, this is probably something that Mary’s children are going to have to deal with too. I feel for them!
Yes! It’s very manipulative and guilt trip-y and it only makes her look worse. I’m sure the extreme scrutiny that comes with exposing your life on television isn’t easy, but if you can’t handle people making mean memes of you, you shouldn’t go on fucking television. And if you go on TV anyway don’t look at what the internet has to say about you because it’s almost never good
