As a latinx, I can’t say this enough. He is only with her for papers. Papers are literally the golden ticket. Latino (immigrant) life pretty much revolves around how to get here (to the US). Every time I see a latino or latina on the show, I find it VERY hard to see past this. Maybe there is some love on the show that has been part and parcel with this, but I think 90% (prob more) of the time, it’s only to get to the US legally.

I am Panamanian and we don’t migrate. People think the American dream is over rated. Costa Ricans also rarely leave their country. Also if you go to the southern cone they don’t migrate also and if they do it’s usually to europe.
Sorry you’re so triggered by me talking about my experience and my perspective. I’m not from either of the countries you mentioned, but the countries that have been represented on the show, I know from personal experience how important being legal is here. It must be nice to come from privilege, you should be grateful for it. For a lot of people, citizenship is a lifeline.
