Only thing I’ve ever seen of his that didn’t pay off was Midnight Club, and that was Netflix’s fault. I’ve read his outline for where the story was supposed to go, and it would have been incredible.

Roy Dotrice forgot what his characters sounded like and what their names were in the 6 year gap between recording books 3 and 4. Most notably, Brienne (Brie-enn) turned into Bry-een (or Bry-eeeeeeen more accurately).
