Hah. I’ve been almost tempted to try writing the opposite. Books in a fantasy realm where nothing much happens. They live in a village in the middle of nowhere, and just have boring day to day lives. Sometimes tell each other stories about magic and famous people and battles. Each book is the next generation. Then maybe at book 7, there’s a major, potentially world shattering event with lots of magic and stuff, a hero with a destiny to save the world, and it’s told by one of the people from the village who left to find adventure and got stuck doing guard duty in the capital. So they only see everything from afar. Then when the world is saved they get sick of guard duty and go home to their village and stay there. And then maybe a few more books about the next generations in the village after that.
