Yes if the ending is spoiled. Non fiction I’ll certainly finish the book, as there is much more info contained within it.

Some books are long especially non fiction and these days I do 70/30 audible to text. I actually start my kindle then switch to an audible book before sleep. So average could vary a great deal due to many reasons.

Yes it’s not for everyone and certainly not for me. I found it too ridiculous and after reading, I swore off SK although I’ll probably try his next book (he’s too good an author) but it will be a last chance for me.

I purchased an audio version of War and Peace. It was read by a female and completely lost interest. I tried and tried and got about 3 hours in and returned it. Mainly I think it was the narrator but the story didn’t seem to have a beginning.

The characters had no substance. I didn’t know where they came from or their past. Perhaps if the names were translated into an English equivalent but that wouldn’t work. Anyway it probably just me. A modern epic TV series might change my mind.
