This is the worst episode of the series, by miles. It was an incoherent mess. Just awful in every single way.
The characters all seem like completely different people, and the dialog was just bad. And what was with the animation? It feels like it was animated by a completely different studio. Everything felt like it was lacking detail. Characters felt lifeless.
But the worst part is how out-of-place most of the scenes in this episode feel. The writers had a list of ideas during their brainstorming session, and then instead of picking a few of the best ones they just said yes to everything. There are a dozen or so completely unconnected scenes about nothing, with no relation to the plot and no connections between them aside from the fact that they all seemingly exist solely to deliver social commentary. It’s almost an entire episode of preaching to the viewer about every issue the writers have ever cared about.
Pick a message you want to deliver, and then write an episode around that idea. Don’t just deliver scene after scene of exposition.
