No. I think Invincible is great because of how it explores the realities of super powers and maintaining one’s morality of helping people. It deconstructs a power fantasy but then rebuilds the super hero ideal when confronted with evil people who wish pain. That alone is a heavy theme to explore, and without the context of other super hero media it wouldn’t land. And that’s one of the most tame parts of the story… so no,not a chance
I feel like so long as they do a similar thing to Nolan and Debbie, really highlight that time has passed and also maybe a scene or two of her turning down dating options until she finally relents, it’ll be understandable. So long as they show and don’t just tell ala “I always knew you were invincibile” they’ll likely be fine. Plus Mark can reaffirm she thought he was dead, he doesn’t blame her.
