It has literally bothered me for years (3 to be exact lol).

But I came to the answer above when replying to another comment. It was (basically) a team building exercise and Ted & Beard were running it, trying to unite the disparate members (and management) of AFC Richmond. They didn’t “need” to bond as much as the players and management. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This may be bigger than the scope of the question a bit, but I never bought Rebecca’s “barmaid backstory” of how she met Rupert. 🙄 That was lazy writing. She came from money, that story is not believable for a woman of Rebecca’s background, education or personality.
