The first series I ended up owning in its entirety was Anne of Green Gables - my mom had an incomplete set but I loved the books so much she bought me the two other books missing from the set.

The first series I bought for myself was Harry Potter, followed closely by Percy Jackson. Both of those are what I spent most of my savings on.

So happy to see this series mentioned! I loved it too!!!

I read The Secret Garden so many times I could literally recite the first four chapters word for word.

Also LOVED A Little Princess and the Anne of Green Gables series.

Time of year: Christmas. Et voilà, Hallmark movie!
