Eroe777@alien.topBtoBooks•Sure we all hate typos, but have you ever had a narrator mispronounce a word in audiobook format?English

1 year agoYears ago, I listened to a book narrated by David Ogden Stiers (Major Charles Emerson Winchester III). He did a really good job, except he kept pronouncing the North Dakota city of Minot (MY-not) as Mee-noh, which is probably something close to the proper French pronunciation, but to a midwesterner it is very jarring.
And on an episode of Cheers, they kept calling the capital of South Dakota, Pierre (PIER), as pee-AYR, like the French man’s name.
My internal narration usually just goes with POI-rot.
