As someone who has just recently reread the whole series in anticipation of the release of Murtagh, the nostalgia from reading them as a child really carried me through the first two books.
You can 100% tell that the first book was written by a 15 year old and Eragons constant inner monologue justifying his every move to himself continues to stay annoying. Oh and his obsession with Arya is still cringy in the last book.
The books do however progressively get better and I still love the world building and a lot of the characters, so I am excited to see how Murtagh turns out.
