fahrenheit 451! though i fully believe that had i picked up that book out of my own free will, i would have hated it just as much. if you had to pick a dystopian, there are so many better examples to choose from

Pretty sure it will one day. I’m an artist, and everybody told me the creatives would be the last to be replaced, and look at the disaster happening in the visual arts world. I think that like visual arts, ai will one day be able to produce writing that is indistinguishable from human writing.

I think the idea that art made by humans is special because it has a “human soul” quality is silly and a little naive. What may come next for writing, in the far future or next year, is the combo of ai and human effort. Ai writing, human polishing!

Human writing will always have its place. Writers who love writing and have stories to share won’t quit simply because ai is around!
