I’ve enjoyed the show but held off on reading the books because I’ve heard similar feedback on them before.

The book is fun for Gen X readers just for the nostalgia factor. The story isn’t deep or meaningful in any way but the throwbacks to 1980s pop culture kept me turning pages.

Night shook me to the core when I first read it. I’m a Gen X ,white male from the south raised to believe showing emotions is a weakness in a man and I cried real tears on that one.

Where would someone start with his books. This sounds like something I would enjoy.
