I read this a couple years ago and i have to admit i found it annoyingly simple and emotionally detached. people talk about it like it’s great and while i can respect those opinions and enjoyed the story, it just lacked the character development and detail to pull me in and become emotionally invested enough to really enjoy it or have it make a lasting impact on me.

I am listening to pet sematary on audiobooo read by Michael c Hall for the second time this year because it affected me so much i can’t stop thinking about it. I’ve read a lot of stephen king, and he is my favorite author, but this is the one that sticks out above all others. The movie was one my absolute favorites when i was a kid, but the book has changed me in ways i can’t explain. Highly recommend. I can’t believe he almost didn’t publish it.
