Depends if you include children’s books or not. Even parents who don’t really read books for themselves often still read children’s books to their children.

For interesting / unique magic system that touched on topics of discrimination through misunderstanding I am going to go with the Recluse book series. I found it very interesting how the villain can be the hero, then back to the villain from book to book just based on perspective.
