No, I only count books as read if I’ve read them.
Agree completely.
Part of it as that people often think “this is YA but it’s so good you’ll like it.” But it’s also that people are really bad at recommending things that fit a prompt. They’ll just recommend what they want, who cares what you were looking for.

Harper Lee was still alive (though maybe not aware) when GSaW came out.
Diana Chronicles by Tina Brown. A few pages in. I like biographies and like learning about the royal family but this book was too much “in Diana’s head” for me to take it seriously as non-fiction.
