Seriously though it’s my favorite book

I can pretty much only read “hard” fiction. I can’t ready fantasy, can never get through it (exception being Harry Potter). I also can’t read biographies or self help books.

I don’t think this will help you, but I’ve found that if I just push myself to keep reading eventually the inner monologue goes away and I just start to absorb the words. Everyone is different however.
