Same! Very surprised to see this answer as this is one of the few books I’ve read in the last 5 years that I was actually satisfied by the end. Definitely worth a second read to see how it all fits together now that I know everything.

Currently reading Hyperion, a sci-fi novel which is written similarly to Canterbury Tales. Each of the main characters tells a story that relates back to the subject of their pilgrimage as they head to their location. Each tale is tonally different which makes each feel like a different genre.
