I think the reason they are so boring is that it feels like nothing is at stake. When I get invested in other couples in the 90 Day universe, it’s because I see their potential/ what they could be. We have never seen this couple in a positive, happy state. Just miserable and unpleasant on both ends.

You can so clearly see how much he is holding back in order to keep the peace. This is like one of those hostage videos where the captor has clearly laid out what the hostage is supposed to say.
