You’re being a lot more amused by it than I was. I listened to the audiobook because I would never have been able to get through it otherwise.

The entire, long chapter about the color white may still be coming up for you. I just couldn’t believe a huge irrelevant digression to discuss the color white in the middle of a book that was actually telling a story. That just was not what I was expecting.

I listened to the audiobook and DNF after just one or two chapters. My reason was kind of related to what you write. It seemed like it was going to be very confusing. I didn’t think I would enjoy it.

I was underwhelmed by it, but I am glad I pushed through and finished it. I know at least one of the other commenters said to take it slow, but I disagree. I would skim difficult passages rather than quit.
