I do most of my reading via the library. A mix between physical books, ebooks, and audiobooks. Anything I find interesting I add to my library wishlist and when I need something new to read I go through that.

I generally only purchase reference books (craft books, cookbooks, etc.) or books I’ve loved and want to own or books that are in series I’ve already started and plan to continue reading.

So the short answer is I don’t organize my TBR lists 😆. I’m not trying to actually finish it since it’s always growing.

  • Hey - I was an adult when HP came out and it’s definitely one of my comfort reads.

When I just need something to keep me company - particularly if I’m trying to fall asleep - I’ll put on the audiobook version and drift away ensconced in this little world I know so well.

I have a handful of other books or series (usually series) I feel the same way about and which ones I do all depends on what I need right then.

We analyze statistics from the millions of books added, rated, and reviewed on Goodreads to nominate 20 books in each category. Opening round official nominees must have an average rating of 3.50 or higher at the time of launch. A book may be nominated in no more than one genre category, but can also be nominated in the Debut Novel category. Only one book in a series may be nominated per category. An author may receive multiple nominations within a single category if he or she has more than one eligible series or more than one eligible stand-alone book.

  • Am I the only one who reads something like this and then suddenly gets all awkward trying to decide if you read like this normally or are just doing it because of power of suggestion?

    Just me?

Either way…if you “hear” the voices when you read that’s fine. If you don’t that’s also fine. If you paint vivid mental pictures that’s fine. If you picture nothing at all that’s also fine.

It’s reading…enjoy it (or learn from it, or whatever).
