Practical Magic & Jurassic Park

I had the same teacher for 8th grade English and 11th grade English- he assigned The Great Gatsby both years, I’m pretty sure it didn’t magically become better with just a few years passing 🤦🏻‍♀️

Senior year of high school we were required to memorize the first 30 lines of that book in Middle English. 25 years later and I can still recite it. 😬

I read that book in 8th grade and hated it- looking back that seems a weird age to introduce that terrible book to children 😂

Terrible people being terrible for all the damn pages. So glad to see I’m not alone in my rage at that book.

Wurthering Heights. I realize that it is a book that is much loved by many and I’m glad they enjoyed it. However when I finished reading it I literally threw it across the room hurling expletives as it went. I hated it then and I still hate it. 🤷🏻‍♀️
