Call Me By Your Name by Andre Aciman. The flowery prose just wasn’t it for me. Maybe it’s because I read mainly YA, but the way it was written was just such a turn off.

I was thinking this as well! I’ve also listened to one of the audiobooks. You’d think it wouldn’t translate well, but it was actually one of the best audiobooks I’ve ever listened to. Highly reccomend both formats.

I wouldn’t say auto-buy, but I have quite a few authors whose work I’ll always WANT to read immediately! Johnny Garza-Villa, Aiden Thomas, Adam Silvera, A. L. Graziadei, Andrew Joseph White, Sonora Reyes and Raquel Marie are certainly up there! And of course Alice Oseman!
