When people say South Park is a smart show, it’s because of the way Matt and Trey weave multiple ideas and topics into a smart and entertaining episode with a comedic spin.

It’s not because there’s always this “deep meaning” behind their shows. In fact, most of their episodes are actually easy to understand if you forego any political/personal bias. Sometimes their points are even a little too on the nose where either Kyle/Stan/Etc has to say “I learned something today…” just to clearly convey what they intended.

Comments like yours remind me of the episode `Scrotie McBoogerballs` wherein both political parties were arguing over a passage on the book that doesn’t even remotely have any connection with politics and twist them to favor their side.

The message behind this episode was pretty clear and simple. People are tired of woke AND lazy films/shows. They blasted Disney because it was true, and they also sent a clear message in the end that while that maybe true, don’t go overboard to the point wherein it’s all you think about every time (that you have to check under your bed) and it becomes your entire identity.

But the fact still remains that people are tired of woke AND lazy films/shows.

If you’re still too politically biased to see the message they’re trying to convey, look at Kyle/Stan, most of the time they’re Matt/Trey’s actual mouthpieces (aside from a few episodes where they act out of character for comedic purposes).

Watch their scene with PC Principal and that’ll tell you pretty much where Matt/Trey stand. They liked Miles Morales because he’s his own character but hate other movies wherein they just slap a new gender/race on someone and call it a day.
